Oh my god why are they so cute!

Here's a story I came up with:

Butterscotch was strolling home one rainy afternoon after a long day working at the animal hospital. He was wearing his favorite green jacket and was thankful enough to bring along his umbrella. When he was halfway home he began to hear a slight sniffling. He turned toward the sound to find a yellow mare underneath a tree. She was wearing a green jacket much like his, and her cutie mark bore three butterflies, just like his. Surprised at this, Butterscotch walked toward the mare. When he got a few feet away from her, he could hear that the mare was quietly sobbing, and saw tears streaming down her cheeks.

"Uhhhh, hello?" Butterscotch said quietly, hoping not to startle her. The mare opened her eyes and turned toward him, blinking a couple of times before speaking in a quiet voice, "Hi, uh, who are you?"

"Well, my name is Butterscotch," Scotch said to the mare, "what's yours?"

The mare crossed her forehooves, "um, my name is fl-" the mare said before talking in an inaudible whisper.

"Could you repeat that? I didn't catch that last part." Butterscotch asked.

"My name is Fluttershy." The mare finally said with a slight hint of shyness on her face.

"Why hello, Fluttershy, it's a pleasure to meet you," Butterscotch said gleefully, "Might I ask what you are doing out here in the rain by yourself? I just so happen to find you when I was walking home from the animal hospital just up the road."

"You work at the animal hospital?" Fluttershy asked, "I do to! I ended my shift as a nurse there an hour ago, and when I got here, it started to rain. The thing is, I'm very scared of Lightning, and I'm to scared to go home out here in this rain. I've been sitting here for half an hour waiting for the rain to clear up."

Butterscotch smiled, "Well, there's no way I'm gonna let a sweet mare like yourself stay out here in the cold by yourself," Fluttershy blushed at the compliment, "Would you mind if I walk you home, miss Fluttershy?"

Fluttershy stood up, "You'd really do that for me? Oh thank you, mister Butterscotch!" She said cheerfully, walking under Butterscotch's umbrella.

"It's no problem. It's the least I can do for a mare like yourself." Butterscotch said as he draped a warm wing around Fluttershy, hoping the warmth will dry off her soaked body, while Fluttershy began to blush when she was enclosed in Butterscotch's warmth.

Butterscotch led Fluttershy to her cottage home, walking her to the front door.

"Thank you so much, mister." Fluttershy said, smiling at Butterscotch.

"It's no problem. I'm glad I had this chance to meet you." Butterscotch said, "Now if you excuse me, I'd best be going."

"NO, wait!" Fluttershy said hastily, "please don't go yet, I was wondering if you could come in for some hot chocolate, and maybe get a chance to know each other more," she asked pleadingly.

Butterscotch stared at Fluttershy for a moment, "Okay," he eventually said, "I suppose I could stay here for a while if you don't mind."

"Yay!" Fluttershy said happily, as she and Butterscotch walked into her cottage.

All of this was just made as I typed it XD
